The purpose of this privacy notice is to inform you about the treatment that will be given to your personal information when the information is collected, used, stored and/or transferred to Viajes Terrestres del Cortez, S.A de C.V. (commercially known as Desert Travel Plus), with address at Paseo Malecon 928, Interior 105, Hotel Zone, San José del Cabo, Los Cabos, CP. 23405, BCS, Mexico and internet website http://www.desertravelplus.com

The personal data that you provide directly in our offices located at Paseo Malecon 928, Interior 105, Hotel Zone, San José del Cabo, Los Cabos, CP. 23405, BCS, Mexico or through your browser to our website, or indirectly is provided to us (collectively will be referred to as "Personal Data"), will be protected in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data held by Individuals (“LFPDPPP”), its Regulations and the Privacy Notice Guidelines, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on January 17, 2013.

Use of Personal Data:

  • Customer Service
    The Personal Data consisting of: name, surnames, email of the client will be collected in order to provide the information and/or service requested regarding the private tourist transportation and the collection of payment of such services, as well as to attend and follow up on any of your doubts, complaints and suggestions, for which, the data provided by you in your disagreement/doubt or suggestion will also be used.
  • Booking
    For the booking and/or prepayment of the private tourist transportation service, we will use the following Personal Data: name, surname, email, telephone number, country of location, flight number, details of the private tourist transportation service and a copy of an official ID. Likewise, patrimonial and/or financial data will be used consisting in: the digits of your credit card, banking institution of the credit card, the expiration date and PIN thereof. In accordance with the exceptions indicated in articles 8, 10 and 37 of the LFPDPPP, these financial data are not considered as requiring express consent to be used.
  • Billing
    For the collection and billing of the services for private tourist transportation service, we will use the following Personal Data full name, tax domicile and federal taxpayer registry.
  • Booking Edition or Cancellation
    Once your reservation is edited or canceled, we will use the Personal Data provided by you: email and reservation number, and we will send you an email confirming the respective edition or cancellation.

Data Protection
The Personal Data will be kept under the strictest confidentiality, and no other treatment will be given except than the above-mentioned unless there is a change in this Privacy Notice.

The exercise of ARCO Rights
You have the right to know the Personal Data we have about you, what we use them for and the conditions of use we give them (Access). Also, it is your right to: (i) request the correction of your Personal Data if it is outdated, inaccurate or incomplete (Rectification); (ii) request the removal of it from our records or databases when you consider that it is not being used in accordance with the principles, duties, and obligations set forth in the regulations (Cancellation); and (iii) to oppose to the use of your personal data for specific purposes (Opposition). These rights are known as "ARCO Rights.”

To exercise any of the ARCO Rights you must submit the respective request in writing in Spanish, including a copy of your official ID, addressed to Mr. Enrique García Ramírez ("Data Controller") who is in charge of the protection of the Personal Data. You can submit your request by delivering it: (i) personally at the address located at Paseo Malecon 928, Interior 105, Hotel Zone, San José del Cabo, Los Cabos, CP. 23405, BCS, Mexico within business hours between 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm from Monday to Friday or (ii) by email addressed to director@deserttravelplus.com. The Data Controller will notify you, within a maximum period of 20 (twenty) business days from the reception of the request, the decision adopted so that, if it is appropriate, it becomes effective within 15 (fifteen) days following the date on which the answer is notified to the email address you provided to us for such purposes.
